Your body can only run on three fuel sources: sugar, fat or protein

When we say sugar, we're not only referring to the sugar that you eat. We're referring to the sugar that your cells eat. In this way, whether you eat a potato or drink a glass of soft drink, you're feeding your cells sugar and in that way, the hormonal response will be the same.

So keep in mind, each time you eat you are feeding each of your cells.

Protein is not a healthy fuel source. However, it is an essential nutrient, so a moderate amount is critical, but too much can be devastating.

Keeping your cells healthy is the key. So then eating for the health of your cells is the key.

Healthy cells, which are receptive to the signalling of your body's hormones, is the real answer to good health and easy, sustainable weight loss.

We have become accustomed to eating for pleasure, each mouthful being a decision based on what we feel like, rather than what is actually best for our cells.

This way of eating leaves us feeling so often dissatisfied, always needing just another snack. In the long run, our body becomes vulnerable to the common chronic diseases of ageing that are reaching epidemic proportions in our society.
